90caps/bottle

Ingredients

D-Glucosamine Sulphate     500mg

All glucosamine products sold contains a mixture of D-Glucosamine and L-Glucosamine. However, the body exclusively uses D-Glucosamine for the manufacture of the building blocks of cartilage as well as for the formation of ligaments. In the normal healthy individual, the body is capable of manufacturing D-Glucosamine. It is believed that one of the causative factors leading to osteoarthritis is the body’s inability to manufacture D-Glucosamine. There are no known food sources of D-Glucosamine. All glucosamine is made from specially processed chitin obtained from shrimp, lobster and crab shells. However, during this processing both D-Glucosamine and L-Glucosamne are formed. Since the body uses D-Glucosamine exclusively, glucosamine products which contain only D-Glucosamine are much better utilized by the body when compared to Glucosamine products that contain both the D and L forms mixed together. Using a patented method for processing chitin, the scientists at Omega Alpha Pharmaceuticals have produced a glucosamine sulphate product that contains D-Glucosamine exclusively. Glucosamine is commercially available in 3 forms: Glucosamine Sulphate, Glucosamine Hudorchloride and N-acetyl-glucosamine (NAG). Of these 3 types, studies have shown that the Glucosamine sulphate molecule also provides a SULPHUR molecule which is essential for the manufacture of cartilage and ligaments. Therefore for best results choosse the Glucosamine Sulphate product that contains only D-Glucosamine Sulphate.

D-Glucosamine Sulphate is manufactured under strict GMP standards. It does not contain artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, preservatives, chemical additives, wheat, yeast or animal derivatives. The glucosamine in this formula is guaranteed to be the purest available.
